when you run into this error message in the AgilePoint Envision, then it is because you seem Activities used, which do not match. Simply use the connector, such as one for each workflow. Then look in the properties, whether it is a source and target activity there. If not, then the activity can not be combined and you should choose another.
if you will get the (in the headline mentioned) error not in AgilePoint Envision, then you are trying to connect activities, that are supposed to be connected. Try to use the connector, like you would for each regular workflow. Then check the properties, if there is a source-and target-activity. If not, then those activities are not combineable and you should take different ones.
